Nitro-V a new chrome-based martensitic stainless knife steel introduced by New Jersey Steel Baron (NJSB). The manufacturer used the existing superior AEB-L knife steel and upgraded it with nitrogen and vanadium to improve edge performance and achieve high hardness and extreme corrosion resistance, especially critical in the marine industry and humid environments. Nitro V can be used in diving knives because of its stain and corrosion resistance. The recommended working hardness is between 58-62HRC, and it has very good impact strength compared to other steels. It is harder than stainless powder steels such as M390, Elmax and S35VN. Therefore, Nitro-V will be a good fit for knives that require good strength.

Blade - Clip Point type with a well-defined belly finished in Gray Stonewashed method. The small thickness of the blade combined with the high, flat grind gives an excellent cutting-edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings aid in the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, which can be opened with the thumb using a quick flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the flipper creates a mini-guard to prevent your hand from slipping on the blade. On the back of the upper jimping blade, a notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with a solid liner lock.

Handle - made of black G10 plastic (fiberglass compressed under pressure with resin). Chamfered cover edges eliminate sharp edges for comfort and sure grip. Open-backed design attached with steel spacer sleeves reduces weight and makes cleaning easier. The pivot is decorated with a stylized Civivi brand logo. Two-position (right/left) metal deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position. Hidden in the back of the right lining is a steel tweezers, a useful tool for precision work that requires a firm grip on small objects.

Case - the knife is packed in a zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer's logo for safe storage and transport of the folder.
