He was the first in the world to have what is known as "the first of the world. enclosed skeleton (the cartridge drum was surrounded by a one-piece frame), making it more reliable than the Colt revolver in use at the same time. Another great advantage (also one of the main differences) was that the entire drum could be removed in literally seconds and a new drum (previously loaded) could be put in place.
