Snubnose (English. nose), a revolver with a barrel length of 4 inches either shorter. A very popular variety of firearms among undercover police officers. Contributing to the popularity of this type of revolver in the civilian market was a law limiting the magazine capacity of weapons that can be carried on one's person (The Federal Assault Weapons Ban) under Right to Carry to 10 rounds.
Construction - frame hot-hardened steel (open frame). Steel oxidized black trigger guard (bail), tang fittings and round barrel length 4", thread pitch 1-30". Moled walnut wood grip covers.
Drum - steel, 6-chambered, oxidized in color black. Cannelled half (1/2 fluted / concave), lighter than full tumbler. On the cylinder engraved scene of a naval battle.
Covers - moleted grip covers made of natural walnut wood, allow a firm grip on the weapon. Deep cuts make it easier to fire accurate shots even with hands dirty from gunpowder and grease, facings do not slip from the hand. Oiling enhances the color of the wood, highlights the grain, and preserves the natural appearance.
Drain - mhe trigger-tongue tensioning mechanism allows two positions: semi-tensioned for putting caps on the chimneys and tensioned for firing a shot.
