Colt 1860 Army Steel .44 six-shot blackpowder revolver cap of Samuel Colt in caliber .44. Military version with an 8-inch barrel - used in the Union Army during the Civil War. Loaded forward with a steel frame and engraved cylinder drum - the scene of the victory of the Second Texas Navy at the Battle of Campeche in 1843.
The revolver has a milling on the underside of the grip for attaching the optional solid wooden stock - ASS44 (Army Shoulder Stock). The butt turns the revolver into a short handy rifle.
Construction - hot hardened steel frame (open frame). Black oxidized barrel and cylinder drum. Grip covers made of walnut wood. Round barrel 8” long.
Trigger - trigger guard in polished brass. The tensioning mechanism of the trigger allows two positions: half-tensioned for putting the hoods on fireplaces and tensioned to fire.
Fire - hardening lever (stamp), hinged under the barrel of a revolver, designed to press the lead balls in the drum chambers. The rocker's lever widens to the rear, making the weapon more streamlined and does not stick to the edge of the holster.
Cylinder Drum - steel engraved with a naval battle scene.
