LC200N - (also known as Z-Flint) ultra-corrosion resistant modern martensitic tool steel with a high nitrogen content. Fairly hard (60 HRC), it provides a combination of excellent strength, edge retention, chipping resistance and extreme corrosion resistance. Produced by combining the PESR process (pressurized electric slag remelting) and intelligent forging technology, which results in an incredible increase in steel purity and a very fine, homogeneous microstructure. It contains 0.3% carbon, 15% chromium, 0.5% nitrogen, 0.95% molybdenum, 0.5% nickel and 1.0% manganese. Manufactured by ZAPP.
Blade - Wharncliffe profile finished with elegant satin. The blade has a full flat grind which gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. To facilitate control of the blade, part of the back of the blade is covered with upper jimping, a corrugated thumb rest. A small hole, characteristic for Spyderco knives, is located under the ramp.
Handle - tang of the knife with grips, made of G10 composite, a practically indestructible material, insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. The front part has a hole for the index finger, this type of grip prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade. The simple, solid construction guarantees many years of use. At the back of the handle, the protruding part of the tang forms a window breaker, it also has a lanyard hole for a safety or decorative cord.
Sheath - protects against falling out and moisture, allows quick removal of the knife. The sheath can be worn around the neck with the included ball chain or attached to the equipment with the G-Clip™. The holster is made of Boltaron® thermoplastic, a new generation thermoformable material with the same applications as Kydex. The holster and pouch made of it are characterized by greater resistance to scratches and chemicals. They are also harder and better than Kydex tolerate extreme temperature fluctuations.
